Social and Community Participation

What is Social and Community Participation?

Social and Community Participation helps and encourages you to take part in your community, and build life and social skills.

Your Mentor (Support Worker) can assist you in participating in social and community activities.

Read our Easy Read brochure here.

What Type of Support is Provided?

Our trained Mentors can provide support on a daily, weekly, or flexible basis as you engage with your community, social and/or recreational goals.

We can help you access the things you want to do, or try in life, including:

  • attending classes (e.g., for music, art or anything else you want to try!)
  • exploring new hobbies
  • attending the footy or going to concerts
  • doing activities such as fishing, ten pin bowling, or dancing.

The activities you choose to do are completely up to you. What would you like to try? It’s your choice and your life – we’re just here to help!
