Short Term Accommodation (STA)
What is Short Term Accommodation?
Short Term Accommodation is a support that is available when you need to live out of home for a short period of time. Access4u can assist you, your parents or your carers, to have a short getaway from your normal routine.
This may be for a week, two weeks or simply a day – it is up to you and your needs.
Sometimes a short stay away from home:
- gives you a chance to try new things
- encourages you to make new friends or expand your network
- allows you to develop new skills
- helps maintain your current living situation by giving your supports a break.
What Type of Support is Provided?
Short Term Accommodation includes:
- personal care
- accommodation
- food
- activities that are agreed upon.
Funding is available for up to 28 days per year but is limited to 14 days at a time. If you feel that 14 days at a time is not enough and that you are looking for longer term arrangements then you can contact us to find out more about medium and long term accommodation arrangements.
Currently using another NDIS provider? You can choose to change providers at any time, as long as you follow the notice periods in your service agreement.
