Katherine Turner

A bit about me:

I have a background in health sciences, project management, youth work, and disability. I have completed a Bachelor in Health and Medical Sciences (Advanced) in Neurosciences as well as my Honours degree in Anatomy and Pathology, specialising in neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Most recently, I’ve worked as a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) working with participants, families, and the community to navigate and better understand the NDIS as well as to connect with supports, resources, and information in their communities. I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge and skillset to my new role at Access4u.

What inspires you me to do what I do:

I’m inspired by the lovely people I have the privilege of working with each day; my clients and their families, and knowing I can support with positive and tangible change in their lives.

The most rewarding part of my role is...

Supporting NDIS participants and their families to achieve their goals, pursue their dreams as well as to explore options they didn’t think were possible.

A fun fact about me:

I love spending time in nature with my husband and daughter, such as going to a beautiful forest or walking trail in the Adelaide Hills or venturing down the coast for a picnic.
