A bit about me:
My journey in the disability sector began in a rostering role with an in-home support provider, where I quickly developed a strong passion for supporting people with disabilities. This led me to a newly created Support Worker Team Leader position, where I managed teams across South Australia, including in regional areas. In this role, I focused on building strong, supportive relationships with both workers and clients, which helped create more consistent and person-centred support.

During this time, I also took on Client Manager roles, giving me deeper insight into how supports are delivered and experienced. These experiences not only expanded my knowledge of the NDIS but also strengthened my ability to navigate the system effectively to support positive outcomes for the people I worked with.

After the birth of my first daughter, I transitioned to a new organisation focused on providing employment supports to young people with disabilities. Working one-on-one with my clients was incredibly rewarding - I saw firsthand the growth in their confidence, skills, and capacity. Many successfully secured employment in roles that not only matched their abilities but also aligned with their passions.

These experiences have shaped my commitment to inclusive, person-centred support and ultimately led me to Access4u, where I can continue making a meaningful impact in people’s lives while building my knowledge and understanding of the NDIS.

What inspires me to do what I do:
Being able to use my past experience to help people make sense of the NDIS and feel more in control of their own journey. I love seeing their confidence grow when they're connected with the right supports and start achieving goals they didn’t think were possible.

The most rewarding part of my role is...
Seeing the positive changes in people’s lives—whether it’s gaining independence, achieving a personal goal, or simply feeling more supported and heard. Being able to use my experience to help someone navigate the system and build their confidence makes it all worth it.

A fun fact about me:
I absolutely love reading, especially crime fiction - there is nothing better than losing yourself in a brilliant book
