Harry Shickle

A bit about me:
I began my Cert IV in Youth Work in 2020. During my studies I volunteered as a Youth Worker in the southern suburbs, being a positive role model within the community. This then led me to become a Mentor with Access4u in 2021. I’ve primarily worked as a Mentor within the complex space in our VOOHC houses. I am currently studying my Diploma of Community Servies and am passionate about the mental health space.

What inspires me to do what I do:
Everyone deserves an opportunity! Supporting individuals overcome barriers and make positive choices to lead to a positive life.

The most rewarding part of my role is...
Seeing the positive outcome of the supports we provide to our customers as well as supporting our Mentors in professional development.

A fun fact about me:
Recently I have discovered a love for running. I am training all year round for events. Recently I completed the Melbourne Marathon.
