Raksha Acharya

My experience:
I have been engaged in the community service/social work field for the last 10 years, which includes both my working and learning experience from my bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work. I joined Access4u in 2023 as my enthusiasm was encouraged by its reputation of providing staff a flexible working environment, respecting them and their ethnicity and working creatively to offer clients excellent support and exceptional outcomes.

What inspires me to do what I do:
My personal interest to help people and my qualification led me to work in the disability sector. Having multilingual skills and promoting a culturally competent practice in addition to holding a personal interest in supporting families, children, and youth in their decision-making capacity to enhance their well-being. I want to help people to help themselves for their own improved livelihood whilst representing them on their behalf.

The most rewarding part of my role is…
Coordinating the best support for my clients in exploring and connecting with service providers according to their needs and supporting them in making informed decision-making. Empowering participants choices to enhance and build their capacity is the most rewarding.

A fun fact about me:
I am a very adventurous person but get tired within 15 minutes of hiking, ha-ha. Love spending time with people listening to their exceptional lived experiences.
