PACE is a new computer system that will be used by the NDIA to make things easier for you, your family and your carers.
Nothing will change in your current plan or funding by moving to PACE. There is also nothing to action until your next planning meeting.
When you are due for your next planning meeting, PACE may be introduced and we can help you through the process.
If you have any questions, please call the NDIA on 1800 800 110.
If you are a current Access4u customer, what do you need to do?
At your next planning meeting or when your next PACE plan is approved, you will need to:
- Request that The Torrens Foundation (acting as Access4u) are listed as 'my provider' (our provider number is 405 006 0483).
- Request that this occurs from the start date of your new plan (not the date you speak with them).
- If you access any of the 3 listed categories below, ensure The Torrens Foundation (acting as Access4u) is specifially listed for each category individually (if relevant to your supports): Home and Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Behaviour Support.
Access4u is unable to do this for you.
Confirmation of The Torrens Foundation (Acting as Access4u) as your endorsed provider should be an instant process from one phone call. We encourage you to ask for a receipt number for a record of your request.
What is not changing?
- Your supports (although they may have a new name).
- The structure of NDIS plans.
- Item Support Numbers.
- The NDIS Act.
- The registration process for providers.
- NDIS Commission obligations, including Practice Standards.
What is changing?
The main changes will be the words used to describe support types and categories and how the NDIA will communicate with you.
Nothing will change in your actual plan, just the words used to describe certain things.
