Here at Access4u, we often find that parents and students are not across what is required for this transition and are not aware of their entitlements. Our Senior Disability Manager, Gai Dawe, has decades of personal and professional experience in the sector. As a parent of a child with a disability, she understands this time of life can be challenging and overwhelming.
So, we're here to help. To assist, we've put together a short presentation and comprehensive easy read guide aimed at students and parents. This intends to make things a little easier during the transition.
We have presented this workshop to schools in the past and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents and school staff. Many feel much more at ease and prepared after our presentation. As a not for profit, we are providing this as a free and no obligation service to families.
