The Access4u Empowerment Sessions, a workshop designed to build practical life skills for NDIS participants living in the Northern suburbs of Adelaide, kicks off on 20 August 2025.
The first session focuses on the importance of setting goals and the steps to put in place to achieve them, and will boast several interactive activities for participants and their Mentors (also known as Support Workers) to participate in.
We have received several questions about the Empowerment Sessions and how they will work, so without further ado, please see below:
Do customers have to bring a Mentor?
All our sessions require customers to be supported by a Mentor, Carer, Parent or Guardian. If you cannot bring a Mentor, you can bring along your Carer, Parent and/or Guardian.
Do I need to RSVP for ALL sessions?
No, customers can pick and choose! They can RSVP for one session, two sessions, or even all the sessions if they want to! It's completely up to the customer and what they would like to learn.
Is the venue accessible?
All sessions will be held at the Hive Community Resource Hub in Burton (with the exception of the Food & Nutrition session). The Hive is a wheelchair accessible venue and has ample parking available.
What is the cost of each Empowerment Session?
All Empowerment Sessions are FREE to attend for everyone.
Who can attend the Empowerment Sessions?
The Empowerment Sessions are open to Access4u customers only for now. We may expand in the future, based on demand.
