Tony has been living independently for five and a half years. He was supported by Access4u previously to access the community.
When he was living at home his mum did everything for him. Now, with the assistance of Access4u, he has improved his skills around the household. He is able to do things on his own with a few hours of support most days. His words are: "I have learnt to care for myself."
Tony is accessing the local community, with outings twice a week. He has support in the home on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and assistance with shopping Saturday. Tony said his staff are a "good group." Likewise, his staff enjoy supporting him as well!
Tony enjoys dancing, jigsaw puzzles (it takes him two to three weeks to complete a 2000-piece jigsaw, which is very impressive!), puzzle books and bowling. He is looking forward to moving into a new property in the future.
We are happy to see that Tony is living his best life!
