Meet the leader of our Yorke Peninsula activities, Sam Olinga, below...
A bit about me:
I have extensive experience working within the disability and community services sectors, including roles in case management for housing and homelessness, service management with SIL services, and service coordination for NDIS participants. Additionally, I’ve worked in disability employment services, supporting individuals in achieving their career goals. Currently, I’m pursuing a Diploma of Counselling to further expand my skills in supporting individuals, which led me to Access4u as an opportunity to apply my knowledge and make a greater impact in the sector.
What inspires me to do what I do:
I’m inspired by the opportunity to connect with people and build meaningful rapport. I truly enjoy being part of their journey toward empowerment, whether it's through offering guidance, support, or simply being a listening ear. It’s rewarding to see others grow and thrive as they unlock their potential.
The most rewarding part of my role is...
The opportunity to meet diverse individuals and help them navigate their support journey. I find great fulfillment in guiding people towards empowerment, providing the resources they need, and watching them build a path that enhances their quality of life. Being part of their transformation is truly gratifying.
A fun fact about me:
I am a voracious reader, I prefer nonfiction, particularly Australian history and the history of the British monarchy. I do enjoy dystopian fiction.
