Being able to choose where you live, who you live with and what supports you may need in your own home is a big part of living as independently as possible.
We provide multiple NDIS solutions to support you, whether you are moving out of home for the first time, or you’re further down the track of your housing journey.
We work directly with individuals, families, and other service providers to empower you with tailored living options. We all deserve choices, and where we choose to live is one of the most crucial in shaping our lives.
We are committed to undertaking a significant exploration phase to ensure that the best services and solutions are being provided to you. The process of transitioning into appropriate housing can take time and is complex, but we have seen first-hand the positive impact this has on individuals and their families.
Access4u is committed to never simply “filling housing vacancies”. Each person is different, and we will prioritize finding you a home that suits you and puts your support needs at the forefront – whether that involves purchasing a home for you to live with a friend, living close to your family or your workplace, or anything in between.

Being able to choose where you live, who you live with and what support you may need in your own home is a big part of living as independently as possible.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a support that provides help or supervision with daily tasks for living independently while you continue to develop and build your skills.
Access4u provides long-term or permanent accommodation to SIL participants.
Depending on your individual needs, you can expect assistance with:
The level of support for each of these activities may vary, depending on the level of support someone requires.
This service is available as 24-hour support, or brief periods during the day or evening, and is adaptable according to your needs.
Your unique care and support needs are always considered to ensure that this service meets your personal goals. It’s your choice and your life – we’re just here to help!
Currently using another NDIS provider? You can choose to change providers at any time, as long as you follow the notice periods in your service agreement.
SIL is available to you if it appears in your NDIS plan under CORE Supports.
We have limited vacancies across the Adelaide Metropolitan area, the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Yorke Peninsula.
Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) is a home and living support that Access4u provides. It refers to temporary transitional housing which is available to you if you are waiting for your more permanent residence to become available or waiting for it to be fit for use.
MTA is also an appropriate service to consider if you are leaving institutional care, waiting for home modifications to be completed, waiting for a vacancy, or your current living arrangements are not working out.
Funding for MTA only covers the cost of the accommodation for the time you stay there.
For example, you might need medium term accommodation while you wait for your home modifications to be completed, or you’ve already secured Specialist Disability Accommodation, but you’re waiting for another person to move out before you can move in.
Funding for medium term accommodation doesn’t include day-to-day living costs like food, internet or electricity. It also doesn’t include any personal care supports, or other supports you get in your home.

Short Term Accommodation is a support that is available when you need to live out of home for a short period of time. Access4u can assist you, your parents or your carers, to have a short getaway from your normal routine.
This may be for a week, two weeks or simply a day – it is up to you and your needs.
Sometimes a short stay away from home:
Short Term Accommodation includes:
Funding is available for up to 28 days per year but is limited to 14 days at a time. If you feel that 14 days at a time is not enough and that you are looking for longer term arrangements then you can contact us to find out more about medium and long term accommodation arrangements.

Individualised Living Options (ILO) allows you to choose where you want to live, who you want to live with, and in housing that suits you.
This support also allows you to set up the supports needed to live in the way that best suits you. Beyond the range of disability housing options that are available to NDIS participants, there is also the entire housing market available to you.
You might want to consider ILO supports if you are:
You may also want to add ILO to your NDIS plan if you need help at home for at least 6 hours a day and you don’t need 24 hour rostered supports from one or more Mentors.
There are two stages to this support:
The support your ILO could include can differ person to person, depending on your situation and needs. Here are some examples:
Please note ILO does not including funding for where you live or home modifications, rent or mortgage repayments, and everyday costs (such as bills or groceries).

Individualised Living Options is available to you if it appears in your NDIS plan under CAPACITY BUILDING (CB) Supports.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a range of housing designed for people with very high needs.
SDA homes are constructed to be more accessible for you. They enable better or safer delivery of other supports you may need. SDA usually involves a shared home with a small number of other people.
It’s easy to get SDA and Supported Independent Living (SIL) confused, as both supports aim to help people live independently. But while SIL is about supports, SDA funding is provided to cover the capital (bricks and mortar) costs of the dwelling.
Finding the right fit for you is important. Things to consider include how close it is to suitable transport options, whether it is close to your friends, family, or employment, and if the location suits your lifestyle.
Finding and successfully applying for an SDA can be a daunting task, so a Specialist Support Coordinator is an invaluable resource.

Access4u Housing is committed to providing high quality services to those in need, but sometimes we get it wrong. By supporting tenants to discuss complaints and service improvements, staff can fix issues more efficiently and improve service delivery.
Many tenants know what a complaint or a suggestion is; however, they may need support on how and when to use the system with the right person.
Our Process
You can make a complaint by calling the CEO on 1800 022 237.
Alternatively, you can complete a Tenant’s Complaints and Feedback Form and email this to cathy.miller@access4u.org.au.
