What is Respite Services?
Respite supports you and your carer/s by giving carers short breaks from their caring responsibilities and providing you with time away from your family.
This NDIS service is suitable for those requiring support and assistance with care outside of the home for children and young people with a disability.
For participants, respite might mean:
- joining a new group
- having a short period out of home to try new things or develop new skills.
- support to engage in community activities, resulting in a break for carers.
For carers, taking some time off can help them better manage their own health and improve their wellbeing.
