My experience:
I started working with Mental Health & Carer support services about 15 years ago, working across various Local Government and non for-profit agencies.

During this time, I have completed various certificates & Diplomas and more recently a Wellbeing Coaching course to support and mentor my teams.

What inspires me to do what I do:
Professionally I am inspired by not only the incredible customers we work with, watching them grow, achieve goals and live their best lives and I am also inspired by the mentors/ support workers who show compassion & respect towards all the customers/carers we engage with.

The ground staff are the ones selling the business, promoting a service and advocating for change to reduce stigma in the community. Their passion drives change.

The most rewarding part of my role is…
Assisting customers to make changes, small steps each day to live a life where they can flourish and feel supported and included.

Fostering relationships, by having an inclusive supportive approach towards staff, whilst mentoring growth, personally and professionally, listening & goal setting.

Fun fact about me:
I played women’s football for West Adelaide (westies) before it became a popular sport and whilst not at work, I am a single mum (and dance mum!) to three little ones & a puppy. In our spare time, we head over to Moonta & surrounding towns along the peninsula.
