My experience:
I have been with Access4u for 2 years as of November 2022, and having been working in the disability field for several years. Prior to Access4u, I worked in disability employment and also worked at the NDIS.
What inspires me to do what I do:
What led me to the disability sector was my interest in the NDIS and its model. I really liked that it encourages people to have choice and control over what they do. I also wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives – I have found that working in disability is empowering, both for yourself and for those you work with.
The most rewarding part of my role is…
When you have a win! Seeing people receive the support they need and receiving more supports to allow them to optimise their plans and reach their goals.
A fun fact about me:
I’m a huge preserver! I love preserving fruits and vegetables. I also ride motorbikes and I love my pets; I’m a big family person – love hanging out with hubby and my kids.
